After a whirlwind of a year including movies, tours and sold-out sauces, Bobby Brown and his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown have launched, The Bobbi Kristina Serenity House to support victims of domestic violence in Massachusetts.
Following the untimely death of Bobbi Kristina Brown in 2015, her father Bobbi Brown has vowed to honor his daughter as well as help other victims of abuse. The Bobbi Kristina Serenity House is a nonprofit that will respond to all Massachusetts calls connected through the BKSH hotline from victims of domestic violence seeking assistance in the state. BKSH will provide fundraising and support to Brookview House to provides safe housing and on-site programs to families struggling through homelessness and domestic violence.
BKSH is assisting with fundraising and awareness around Brookview’s annual luncheon and symposium, the Power of the Purse, which is taking place on Thursday, April 11that the Seaport Hotel Plaza Ballroom. The event is designed to raise awareness and financial support for the courageous moms of Brookview who are relentless in their efforts to lift their children out of homelessness.
“The impact of domestic violence not only affects men and women,” stated Bobby Brown. “It impacts our children and can keep them from becoming healthy leaders in my home state, Massachusetts. We are excited to join Brookview House and combine our resources to help these families move forward with their lives.”
The number of people experiencing homelessness in families with children in Massachusetts grew by a stunning 94 percent from 2007-2018. Each year, Brookview provides 370 women and children experiencing homelessness with a safe, supportive environment in which to live and acquire and practice skills to pursue education, job training and employment in order to achieve long-term stability and economic independence.
“Domestic violence and the need to seek safe shelter is the leading factor behind family homeslessness driving mothers and their children to our doors,” said Deborah Hughes, president and CEO of Brookview House. “We have long admired the work and mission of the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House and are so pleased to join forces with their team to tackle this urgent crisis together.”

Budding rapper Maliibu Miitch is already branching outside the realms of Hip-Hop, with the Bronx-bred beauty making her way into the fashion world most recently by way of streetwear imprint Richardson.
The new pieces being rocked by the “Give Her Some Money” femcee incorporate a range of graphic prints and photography themed around ’80s artist collective The Grey Organisation — they created De La Soul’s 3 Feet High and Rising album cover — and deceased musician Alan Vega of the punk band Suicide. Vega appears on a black & white tee that gives off classic “in memoriam” vibes, while the GO offering shows off an “Alive and Awake” graphic as Miitch rocks in the images above. The feel is very left-field and definitely speaks to counterculture, which have always been cornerstone themes when it comes to Hip-Hop.
Pick up the Richardson “Alan Vega & The Grey Organisation” SS19 Collection starting tomorrow (March 1) at select retailers and online. See the full lookbook below:

DMX has criticized today’s Hip Hop in the past, but apparently Bhad Bhabie gets a pass. The vet had a surprise cameo in her music video, “Bestie” featuring Kodak Black.
The upbeat dance record had visuals inspired from a horror flick. Bhabie raps about her love for her best friend while a masked killer terrorizes other characters in between dance breaks. The dancing killer was definitely entertaining, but the highlight was when he took off his mask and turned out to be DMX.
Although Kodak Black doesn’t physically appear in the video, his verse is played while a beheaded white man is served on a platter.
This is one of the Dog’s first appearances since being released from prison for tax evasion and he completely stole the show.
