The trailer for the highly anticipated Bad Boys spin-off TV series L.A.’s Finest, starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba has arrived. The first three episodes of the cop drama will be made available for free to subscribers on Spectrum’s On Demand platform on Monday, May 13. The rest of the season will be released weekly each subsequent Monday for the remainder of the 13-episode run.
The series sees Union reprising her character, Special Agent Sydney “Syd” Burnett, from the second Bad Boys film. Burnett was an undercover DEA operative and sister of Martin Lawrence’s Marcus Burnett and love interest for Will Smith’s Mike Lowrey.
In the show, Burnett is last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, who has seemingly left her complicated past behind to become an LAPD detective. Syd is now paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Alba), who is a working mom with an equally complex history.
Alba and Union are executive producers on the series alongside Brandon Margolis, Brandon Sonnier, Pam Veasey, Doug Belgrad, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Jeff Morrone, and pilot director, Anton Cropper.
At this time there is no word on if the series will be made available to stream on other services after it concludes its first season.
