Emiel Lamar Hunt, 39, was charged on Tuesday with the death of Trinity Love Jones after the 9-year-old was discovered dead in a duffel bag.
Trinity’s body was found on March 5th in light brush near an equestrian trail in Hacienda Heights. Los Angeles County officials believe that Hunt killed the little girl on March 1st. Officials haven’t released a motive.
Her body was found in a black roll away duffel bag with her head sticking out. “You killed my daughter!” Antonio Jones, Trinity’s father, stood and shouted during Hunt’s hearing.
Hunt’s bail was set at $2 million, and his arraignment was continued to April 16. A public defender will be assigned to represent him.
If he’s convicted for murder he can face life in prison.
