Kareem Hunt Receives Eight Game Suspension from NFL

Kareem Hunt went from a grim outlook on his NFL career to being a teammate of Odell Beckham Jr. on a Cleveland Browns team that is starting to get whispers about being a potential Super Bowl Team. Unfortunately for Hunt, he won’t be able to take the field with Beckham Jr., Baker Mayfield and the rest of his new squad until the middle of the season.

Hunt has been suspended by the league for eight games for violating its personal conduct policy. Ian Rapaport of NFL Network reports that the troubled running back will not appeal the punishment from the league officers and will sit out.

The Browns picked up Hunt in February after he was tossed from the Kansas City Chiefs before the playoffs. The 23-year-old running back was released after a video of him assaulting a woman hit the net.

The eight games will cost Hunt over $300,000 of his $645,000 he will be paid for the season.
