NYC Dentist Gets 10 Years In Prison For Child Porn

A dentist from Manhattan was sentenced to 10 years and one month in prison on Tuesday.

63-year-old John Wolf was in possession of over 600 images and 200 videos of children in some seriously disturbing scenarios, with some depicting gross images of bestiality and others showing the sexual abuse of a toddler.

“My drug use cost me my freedom, my profession, and almost my life,” Wolf said in Brooklyn Federal Court, speaking of his addiction to meth. The dentist’s steep downfall began in March of 2014 with the arrest of his meth dealer, who pointed the feds to Wolf. The dentist reportedly distributed meth during freaky parties and displayed child porn to others, according to court papers. An undercover officer who was posing as a fellow child porn fanatic even viewed sick videos with Wolf in the basement of his 15th St. office.

During this investigation, Wolf was recorded bragging that he had used ketamine to drug and sexually assault an adult male, also punching holes in a condom before sex with another partner. The HIV-positive dentist denied those incidents actually occurred.

“Wolf was once a successful dentist who now finds himself deservedly confined behind prison walls for conspiring to distribute dangerous drugs and sharing images of children being subjected to sexual violence,” said Brooklyn U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue.

Judge William Kuntz ordered that Wolf also serve 10 years of supervised release after serving his sentence, along with registering as a sex offender. Wolf–who said he was a victim of child sexual abuse–says he hoped to “give back to [his] community” once he serves his sentence.
